The Mystery of the Missing Homework

It was a typical Monday morning in Mrs. Smith's 12th grade English class. The students were all settling into their seats, ready for another week of learning. However, one student, named Alex, was feeling quite anxious. You see, Alex had spent all weekend working on a big project for Mrs. Smith's class, but when he went to pack his bag this morning, he couldn't find it anywhere. His heart sank as he realized that his homework was missing. Alex frantically searched through his bag, hoping that he had just misplaced it. But it was nowhere to be found. He asked his classmates if they had seen it, but no one had. Mrs. Smith noticed Alex's distress and asked him what was wrong. But just as he was about to give up, Lily spotted something under a bench. It was Alex's project! It must have fallen out of his bag when he was walking to school. Alex was overjoyed and couldn't thank Lily enough. He rushed to Mrs. Smith's classroom and turned in his project just in time. Mrs. Smith was impressed with his dedication and determination to find his missing homework. She even gave him extra credit for his efforts. From that day on, Alex made sure to double check his bag before leaving the house. He learned that sometimes, the solution to a problem is right in front of you, you just have to keep searching. And he was grateful to have a friend like Lily who was always willing to lend a
